The Reaping

I walk over to the other girls my age.the reaping has begun."Lady's first! " yells Sprinkle. Her hand floats around the bowl and plucked a name."Lexi Davis! " she yells. My hart sank as the peacekeepers graved my arms and leaded me ti the stage. Once I was up I saw my mother and little sister huddled together and started crying."Any volunteers?" Then, I see someone jump up and try to push past the peacekeepers. "Me!" The girl says. "I volunteer!" Oh no, It's Azalea. I'm about to walk off the stage when Sprinkle says something. "Well, that's the hidden part of the quell! Whoever volunteers becomes a tribute! Oh, how exiting!" I couldn't help it my jaw dropped open but I closed it just as quickly "great now ill have to kill my best friend too " I think. She slowly makes her way up the stage we exchange quick glances. I couldn't think strait and just ignored whoever she called for the boys.

Aww... I was gonna volunteer, then Sprinkle would say that the hidden part was anyone who volunteered would be put in the games too.
